Globe Engineering Co. is over at 47 J.P. Road, which is right near the Navrang Cinema. If you know the area, you know it’s a landmark that everyone uses for directions. Being so close to the cinema means there’s always a lot of people around, especially in the evenings. We’ve been doing engineering work here for a long time, and our shop has that old-school feel to it. There’s a lot of metal, a lot of tools, and usually a layer of oil on the floor. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment packed into the space. We don’t really care much for being corporate or having meetings that go on for hours. Usually, we just talk about what needs to be fixed over a cup of tea. People come to us with all sorts of mechanical problems, and we do our best to figure them out. It’s a lot of trial and error sometimes, but that’s just how engineering goes. The noise from J.P. Road is constant, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have a sales team or anything like that. If someone needs something, they just walk in and ask. We like keeping it simple and honest, just working with our hands and getting things delivered on time. It’s not always pretty, but it’s what we’ve been doing for years and we're used to the pace of this neighborhood.
