Global Hospital Mumbai

We've been here in Parel for a while now. Most days it’s just busy, you know how Mumbai is with the traffic and everyone rushing around. The hospital is right in the middle of it all. I usually get in early before the sun is too hot, and there are already people waiting outside. It’s a lot of work, keeping things running. We see all sorts of folks coming through the doors. Some are just here for a quick check, others stay longer. The nurses are always on their feet, running back and forth between rooms. It gets loud sometimes, especially when the ambulances come in, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep things organized, but on Mondays, it’s always a bit of a scramble. The tea stall nearby is where most of us head when we get a ten-minute break. Honestly, the building shows its age a bit, but we keep it clean. It’s not fancy like some of the new places in the suburbs, but it’s home for us. People know us here. They stop by just to ask directions sometimes. We’re just part of the neighborhood. The elevators can be slow when it’s peak hour, so most of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything. Most of the staff live quite far, so they spend a lot of time on the local trains. You can see the exhaustion on their faces by Friday, but they still show up. It's just life in the city.
