Giri Engineering Works

We've been at Andheri East Lohar Chawl for a while now. Most people around here know us as Giri Engineering Works. It’s a busy spot, and there is always something going on in the workshop. We mostly spend our days dealing with repairs and making parts for people who drop by. It’s noisy and greasy, but that’s just how it is. We aren't a big factory or anything. It's just a regular place where we try to get things fixed. Sometimes the machines act up or we run out of a specific tool, but we manage. If you walk down the lane, you’ll see our sign. People often come in asking for help with some piece of metal or a broken part. We do our best to help them out without making it too complicated. It’s not fancy here at all. We have piles of stuff everywhere and the floor is never really clean. That's fine with us. We just focus on the work right in front of us. Most of our tools have been around for years. We know where everything is even if it looks like a mess to someone else. It's a living. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but we’re still here at the same old spot. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a small break then. If you’re passing through Lohar Chawl, you might hear the machines running. That’s just us.
