Gilt Salon

Gilt Salon is located in the New Poornima Building, specifically at A 003, right on Pedder Road. Being so close to Jaslok Hospital means there is always a lot of movement outside our door. There is a Dominos Pizza nearby too, so the smell of food often drifts over in the afternoons. Mumbai is a fast city, and this part of town is especially busy with cars and people always in a rush. We opened this place to give people in the area a spot to sit down for an hour and get their hair or skin looked at. It’s a small space, typical for this part of Mumbai, but we’ve made it work. We get a mix of people—some who work in the offices nearby and others who live in the apartments around Pedder Road. We do the usual salon work like cutting hair and basic skin treatments. It’s not a big corporate chain, just us working here every day. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when we have three people waiting on the bench, but we try to keep things moving. We aren't trying to be the fanciest place in the city, just a reliable shop where you know what you're getting. Most people find us because they live right here in the building or are just walking by Jaslok and need a quick trim.
