Gill Roadlines

The office for Gill Roadlines is over at 99/1 B E S T Nagar, specifically on the 16th Cross near 22nd Main. It’s a busy spot, and there is always the sound of engines or horns in the background. We have been working out of this space for quite a while now. It’s mostly just desks, a few old chairs, and a lot of paperwork piled up. Managing trucks and routes is a messy business, and it shows in our office. We don't have air conditioning, so the ceiling fans are always spinning fast, especially in the summer. My day starts early, checking where the drivers are and if the loads have reached their spots. It’s not a glamorous job. There is a lot of shouting on the phone because the network can be bad sometimes. We drink a lot of tea from the stall nearby just to keep going through the afternoon slump. The 22nd Main road is usually jammed, so we see a lot of traffic from our window. People think logistics is just about moving boxes, but it’s mostly about dealing with people and delays. We just try to get the job done without too much fuss. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get it done. We are just a small team trying to keep the trucks moving across the roads and making sure things get delivered eventually. It is hard work but it is what we do.
