General Transport Corporation

We are up on the second floor here at 51 Masjid G T Road. It gets pretty loud outside with all the trucks and the traffic moving along the main road. Most days we are just busy keeping track of where everything is going. We’ve been running General Transport Corporation from this spot for a while now. It’s not a fancy office, just a place where we get the work done. People come up the stairs to talk about moving their goods or checking on their deliveries. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at clipboards. The heat can be a bit much in the afternoons, but that is just how it is. We know the routes around here well and we know which roads to avoid when the traffic is bad. It is mostly just routine stuff, making sure drivers are ready and the papers are signed correctly. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks and we have to stay late to finish it. We don't have a big reception or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably see us drinking tea and looking over the logbooks. It is a simple setup but it works for what we do. Moving things from one place to another sounds easy but there is always something that needs sorting out. We just try to keep things moving without too much fuss and bother for anyone.
