General Electric Manufacturing Company

Our place is located on Cancer Hospital Road in Vile Parle East. It is at number 7, and we have been making electrical stuff here for years. The name General Electric Manufacturing Company sounds big, but we are just a local operation with a few hard-working people. The building is older, and you can see the age in the bricks and the wooden doors. Inside, we have benches where we assemble different electrical components. It is quiet work most of the time, just the sound of small tools and people talking. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning. We just open the windows and let the breeze in, though it gets quite dusty from the road outside. Being near the hospital means it is a busy area, so there is always movement outside. We see the same people walking by every morning. Our customers are mostly local contractors or builders who have been buying from us for a decade or more. They know they can just walk in and ask for what they need. We don't bother with fancy packaging or bright labels. We just make sure the items work like they are supposed to. Sometimes we run out of a certain part and have to wait a few days for the supplier, and we just tell the customer the truth about it. We don't like to overcomplicate things. We just want to make good parts and keep the shop going for as long as we can.
