This little shop is located inside the Calcuttawala Estate on Lamington Road. To find us, you have to come into the estate and head up to the third floor. We are in Room 56. It is a bit of a walk if the lift isn't working right, but most people are used to it. The area is always very busy with the electronics market nearby and Hotel Shagun is just a short walk away. Being on the third floor makes it a bit quieter than the street below, which is nice. It isn't a huge place, just a simple setup where I do beauty work for the ladies in the area. There is a small waiting area with a few old magazines. The lighting is okay, and we have enough mirrors to see what's going on. A lot of my customers are regulars who have been coming for years because they live or work in this part of Mumbai. Sometimes the hallway outside is a bit dark in the evenings, but once you get inside the room, it's fine. It is just me working here mostly, so it stays pretty casual. People stop by for a quick eyebrows session or a haircut while they are out doing their shopping on Lamington Road. It's not a fancy place with a big sign, but we have been here for a good while and the neighbors know where Room 56 is.
