We are tucked away in the Fort area at 140 G in the Derbay Building. If you are looking for us, just head behind Handloom House and you will see the entrance. This part of Mumbai is full of old buildings and narrow lanes that have been here forever. Our printing shop is one of those places where you can always smell the ink and the paper as soon as you step inside. We have some old machines and some newer ones too, all squeezed into the space we have. It gets quite cramped when we have a big order of posters or books to get through. The light in the Derbay Building is a bit dim, so we have plenty of tube lights fixed to the ceiling so we can see what we are doing with the colors. Fort is a busy place, but our little corner is somewhat quiet compared to the main road. We spend a lot of time checking proofs and making sure the paper is cut straight. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning fixing a jam, which is frustrating but part of the job. Most of our regulars are from the offices nearby who need things done quickly. We just keep our heads down and keep the presses running until the work is finished for the day. It is a lot of standing around and watching the rollers turn, but we like the finished product.
