Gaylord Engineers is tucked away in the Acme Industrial Park on I. B. Patel Road in Goregaon East. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy Goregaon can get at almost any hour of the day. Our spot at Plot No 107 is where all the engineering work happens. It’s a noisy, active place where we’re constantly working on different projects and various mechanical parts. We aren't a big, fancy firm with a lobby full of plants and a receptionist out front. We’re an engineering shop through and through. The walls are lined with tools and blueprints, and there's usually the sound of a drill or a lathe in the background. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know our neighbors in the park pretty well by now. We don’t spend much time on ads or trying to look bigger than we actually are. We just take on the jobs that come in and try to do a solid job on them so things don't break. Whether it’s a small part or a larger assembly, we treat it the same way. The traffic on I. B. Patel Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, but we just stay focused on the metalwork until it’s time to head home. We’re just a bunch of engineers and technicians who enjoy figuring out how things work and putting them together. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it’s always worked for us.
