Gayatri Surgical Equipment

Our shop is tucked away in 1/102 Dahisar Anand Plaza. It is a quiet enough place compared to the main road, but we stay busy with all the boxes and small parts we have to keep track of. We deal with things like surgical tools and hospital supplies, so everything has to be kept in its right place, though the back room is usually a bit of a mess of bubble wrap and tape. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure the right items go into the right boxes for the clinics around here. It is a lot of standing on your feet and reaching for high shelves. We don’t have a fancy office, just a counter and a few chairs for when people come by to talk about what they need. Sometimes the stock takes a long time to arrive and we have to explain the delay to frustrated customers, which isn't the best part of the job. Being in Dahisar, we get a lot of local doctors and people from the neighborhood. It is a steady kind of work and we have been doing it from this same spot for a long time. The lights in the plaza are a bit dim in the evenings but we stay until the last order is packed up. It is just a practical way to earn a living and we take it one day at a time. No big fuss.
