Sion is a busy place to be. Gayatri Institute sits right in the middle of all that noise. We spend our days in the rooms here with students coming and going at all hours. The benches are a bit old, but they work fine for what we do. We don't have much in the way of fancy decorations on the walls. Mostly just some calendars and maybe a few notes pinned up for the staff. It can get a bit cramped when the bigger classes show up, but we make it work. Living and working in this part of Mumbai means you get used to the sounds of the trains and the traffic outside. We just focus on the books and the lessons. Some days the fans are the only things you hear when everyone is writing. We started this place because we knew the area needed something local. We don't pretend to be one of those big coaching centers with the glossy brochures. It's just a place to come and learn what you need to learn. Sometimes the lights flicker when the rain is heavy during the monsoon, but we keep going. The tea stall downstairs is where we usually grab a break. It's a simple setup. We show up, the students show up, and we get through the material. That's the daily routine for us here in Sion. We have a small cupboard for all the files and a dusty window that overlooks the main road. It is what it is.
