Gautam Engineering Co

We've been here at 40/42 Nagdevi Street for a long time. Our spot is on the second floor, right above the Pratap Co-operative Bank. It’s a busy area and the stairs are a bit steep sometimes. We deal with engineering parts and different kinds of hardware. Most days start early here because the street gets crowded quickly. We keep a lot of stock in the back room and on the shelves. It’s a bit dusty, honestly, but we know where everything is. People come up to see us when they need something specific for their projects. We aren't a big fancy office. It’s mostly just us working through orders and talking to people who walk in. If you look up from the street, you can see our windows. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk. It’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some shops go, others stay. We’re still here doing our thing day after day. It's a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and checking lists. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. Just the shop and the parts we sell to whoever needs them. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a short break. Then it's back to the ledger and the customers. We might not be the fastest, but we try to be honest about what we have in stock.
