Gau Satvik Farms Private Limited is run out of an apartment in Navi Mumbai, specifically over in Sector-20, Koper Khairane. It might seem a bit odd to have a farm business based in a high-rise like Flat 1301, but that is where we handle the paperwork and the phone calls. Our actual focus is on the farm side of things, specifically dealing with traditional farming and cow-related products. We wanted to bring something more natural to the city people because we saw how hard it is to find decent, honest food in these big markets. We are not some massive food factory. It is a small operation. We spend a lot of time traveling between the city and the rural areas where the actual farming happens. The name Gau Satvik comes from our interest in keeping things clean and simple, the way people used to do it back in the day. Living in Navi Mumbai is fast and noisy, so we try to provide a bit of that rural quality through what we produce. It is a lot of work coordinating everything from a residential plot, but it keeps our overhead low. We don’t have a big storefront or anything like that. Usually, it is just us checking orders on a laptop and making sure the supplies are moving correctly to the people who need them. It’s a bit of a mix between the urban life and the farm life, and we are just trying to find a balance that works for us and our customers.
