Our office is on the third floor of the Jalaram Krupa Building, right in the Fort area. We are on the road that leads to the Chinmaya Mission Hospital, and if you look out the window, you can see Siddharth College just across from us. Fort is such an old, busy part of Mumbai, and you can really feel that history in this building. The stairs are old wood and stone, and Gateway Maritime Pvt Ltd fits right into this setting. We don't have a modern, sleek office. Instead, it’s a space filled with tall filing cabinets and maps and the smell of old paper. We spend our time dealing with shipping schedules and maritime documents. It’s a lot of detail work that keeps us busy from morning until evening. The street downstairs is always packed with students from the college and people rushing to the nearby courts or offices. It’s noisy and crowded, but that’s just life in Fort. We usually have the windows open to let in some air, even if it brings in the sound of the traffic. There’s something nice about being in the middle of all that activity. We’ve been here for a long time, and we’re very familiar with the local tea sellers and the small shops that line the road. It’s just a regular office where we do our best to stay organized and manage the piles of paperwork that seem to grow every single week.
