We spend most of our time at No. 9 in the Bhatia Glass Industrial Estate. It’s right on D. M. Road near the Vakola Pipe Line in Santacruz East. Being in an industrial estate means there is always noise and movement outside. People are usually dragging things around or loading trucks. Gangajal R. O. Systems is where we work on water setups. It isn't a fancy office. We have parts sitting on shelves and tools scattered on the workbenches. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time. They know how to fix a leaking valve or change a filter without thinking twice. Sometimes the heat in Santacruz gets pretty bad, so we keep the fans going all day. Customers come by sometimes, but mostly we are out or just handling things from the desk. It’s a practical place. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. We just focus on the machines and making sure the water flows right. Working in this part of Mumbai means you get used to the traffic on the main road. It takes a while to get anywhere, so we plan our day around that. It is just a regular business day for us, starting early and leaving when the work is finished. We have been here a while now and know the neighbors pretty well. It's just how we do things every day.
