Gami

Our office is right in the heart of Fort, at Gami House on Mody Street. Being near the G.P.O. means the area is always buzzing with people and old buildings. It’s one of those parts of Mumbai where everything feels a bit historic but also very crowded. We occupy the space at 22/24, and it’s a place that has seen a lot of years. The walls are thick, and the ceilings are high, typical of the old architecture around here. It can get pretty loud outside with the taxis and the people walking to the station, but inside we just keep our heads down and work. We don't have a flashy lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly desks, filing cabinets, and the sounds of people talking on the phone or typing away. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time, and we know the tea stall guys and the local vendors pretty well. Parking is a nightmare, so most of us just take the train into CST and walk over. It's a straightforward operation here at Gami. We don't go for anything fancy. We just provide what our clients need and try to stay organized in the middle of all the Fort chaos. The building has its quirks, like the old wiring and the way the stairs creak, but it's home for our business. We like the pace of this area, even when it’s exhausting. There is a sense of history in every corner, even if it is a bit dusty sometimes. It's just a regular office doing regular business.
