Galaxy Moulds

Galaxy Moulds is tucked away on Ramchandra Lane in the Kachpada area of Malad West. It's a bit of a maze back here but we like the spot because it’s where we started. We spend most of our days working on different types of moulds for local shops and small factories. It’s precision work but the shop itself is quite messy with oil and metal shavings everywhere. That’s just part of the process when you're cutting steel. We have a couple of old lathes that still run perfectly fine if you know how to handle them properly. I’ve been working in this lane for over fifteen years now. Most of the neighbors know us by name and stop by to chat. When a customer comes in with a drawing, we sit down and figure out the best way to cut the metal. Sometimes it takes longer than we expect because the material can be stubborn. We don't have a big sign out front or a fancy website to show off. People just know where we are. It gets pretty cramped in here when we have a few big projects going on at once. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things from being too quiet. On rainy days, the roof leaks a little near the back door, but we just put a bucket there and keep working. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy.
