G V Singhi & Co

We are G V Singhi & Co, and our office is located right at 550/52 Vani Vilas Road. It’s pretty easy to find if you look for the Sharda Hotel which is right across the street from us. We’re also near Kamani Wadi, so there’s always people moving about in this part of Kalbadevi. The building we are in is older, and it has that specific feel you only get in these parts of Mumbai. We’ve been in this spot for many years. Our days are mostly filled with paperwork and meetings. It’s not the most exciting work to some, but it’s what we do. The office is usually cluttered with files and ledgers stacked up on every surface. We have a couple of fans going all day because it gets quite warm in here during the afternoon. Sometimes the noise from the street is so loud we have to close the windows, but then it gets stuffy and hot. You can’t really win with that situation. Most of our visitors are people from the neighborhood or business folks from the nearby markets. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just going through documents for people. It’s a steady pace that we are used to. We like being in Kalbadevi because everything you need is just a short walk away. Even though it's crowded and the lanes are narrow, it feels like home to us. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here.
