Our base is in the Jetha Building, which is part of the 1st Phase in Dongri Nagadevanahalli. It’s a solid building, and we’ve set up our transport office here to stay close to where the action is. Handling transport means there is never a dull moment, usually because there is a truck delayed or a driver who needs directions. We have a few desks and some old metal filing cabinets where we keep all the records. The area around Nagadevanahalli is always moving, so we get a lot of noise from the street, but it keeps us on our toes. We spend a lot of time talking to customers on the phone and trying to figure out the best way to move their goods. It’s a simple setup, nothing too fancy or corporate. We don't go in for big meetings or anything like that; we just talk across the room to get things decided. Sometimes we have to stay late when a delivery is running behind, but that’s just how the transport business goes. We usually have some snacks around because nobody has time for a proper lunch break when the phones are ringing. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and making sure the trucks are where they are supposed to be. It’s practical work and we like being right here in the middle of it all. Working from the Jetha Building allows us to keep a close eye on the local traffic.
