If you are looking for us, we are located at Girgaon Mantri House. It is right near Nana Chowk, so it is always incredibly busy outside the front door. The building itself has that old Mumbai feel that you do not see as much anymore. We manage the rooms and try to keep things running as best as we can every day. It is not a big fancy hotel, just a simple place for people to stay when they are in the city for work or visiting family. We spend a lot of our time cleaning and checking on the plumbing because old buildings always have something that needs fixing. Sometimes it is a leaky tap and other times it is a creaky door that will not shut right. The windows look out onto the main street, so you can hear the taxis honking their horns all day long. Some people find it a bit loud, but that is just the life of Girgaon. We have a small desk near the entrance where one of us usually sits to greet people. We do not wear uniforms or have a big lobby with marble floors. Usually, someone is around to help if a guest has a question about where to find a good meal nearby. There are plenty of small eateries around Nana Chowk, so that part is easy. It is just a regular place for regular people needing a spot to sleep.
