We are right in the middle of the madness on Abdul Rehman Street, at numbers 311 and 312-314. If you know the area, we are directly opposite Sony Plastics. This street is always packed with people and carts, and it stays busy from early morning until late at night. Our shop is where we keep all the imitation and art jewellery we handle. It’s a lot of small pieces, so the shelves are always full of tiny boxes and various displays. We spend a lot of time unpacking new stock and showing things to customers who squeeze into the shop. It’s not a quiet place at all. You can hear the shouting of vendors and the horns of bikes outside all day long. We have a few staff members who have been here for years, and they know where every single ring or necklace is kept, even when the place looks a bit cluttered during a busy rush. It’s a very hands-on job. We’re constantly sorting through items, checking for any broken bits, and re-arranging the windows to show what we have. The lighting inside is bright so people can see the details on the jewellery, but the rest of the shop is just basic. It’s a typical market business. We don't have fancy brochures; we just show the items we have on the shelves to anyone who stops in. It’s tiring being on your feet in this heat, but it’s what we do. We’ve been part of this street for a long time now and we're used to it.
