Friend's Garments (india)

You can find us at 102-1 Madhav Wadi, which is right by Naigaum Cross Road in Dadar East. This part of the city is always moving. We deal in all sorts of garments and have been doing this for years now. It’s a family-run kind of setup. My brother and I usually handle the daily chores. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of wall space to show what we have. Sometimes the piles of clothes get a bit high on the counter, but we know where everything is. People from the neighborhood come by often, mostly for regular wear. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth is usually enough for us. The building is older, so it has that specific smell of fabric and old wood. We try to keep the place cool with a couple of wall fans that have seen better days. It's hard work standing all day, but seeing a happy customer makes it okay. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Dadar, just a place where you can find decent clothes for a fair price. Every morning we start by checking the new arrivals and making sure the labels are right. If the train is late, the morning starts slow, but it always picks up by noon. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over time, but we’re still here at the same spot every day.
