We are over at Plot No. 9 on Wallace Street, up on the second floor of Commercial Union House. Most of us have been here a while now. Chemspec Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. isn't a massive flashy place, just a regular office where we get things done. It’s usually pretty busy around here because Wallace Street always has something going on outside the windows. We deal with chemical supplies and the technical side of things every day. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls, making sure stuff gets where it needs to go. Sometimes the lift in this building is a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving I guess. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just focus on the orders we have on the desk right now. People often drop by or call asking about specific batches. We try to keep it simple. If we have it, we tell you. If we don’t, we see when it might come in. The team here knows the routine by heart. It’s not always exciting, but it’s the work we know how to do. You get used to the smell of old paper and the hum of the fans in the afternoon. Most of the people working here live nearby or commute in, so we’re a local bunch. We just keep our heads down and handle the business day by day without making too much noise about it.
