Finishvel Furniture (I) Ltd.

We are located in the Anandraj Industrial Estate, right at unit 202. It’s behind the Asian Paints factory off L.B.S. Marg in Bhandup West. Since it’s an industrial area, it’s usually noisy with trucks and machines going all day long. Finishvel Furniture (I) Ltd. has been here for a good while. Our space is basically a workshop and an office combined into one. You can usually hear the sound of tools or people moving heavy crates around. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a velvet sofa in a window display. It’s more about the actual work of making and moving furniture. The dust is a constant battle, but you get used to it after a week. We have a crew that’s been doing this for a long time. They know the machines inside out. Sometimes things break, or deliveries are late, and we have to scramble to fix it. That’s just life in an industrial estate. We aren't part of some big chain. We’re just a local outfit trying to make things that last. Most of our neighbors are also making things, so there’s a sense of everyone just doing their own thing. It’s a bit of a maze to find us the first time, especially with all the turns behind Asian Paints, but we’re there every morning ready to start the saws. It's a loud and dusty life, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills.
