Fine N Fair Medical And General Store is located right in Shop No 5 of Damodar Park, over on LBS Marg in Ghatkopar West. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, so there’s always a lot of noise from the road outside. We have two sides to the shop really, one for the medicines and another for all the general items like soaps, shampoos, and some snacks. It gets quite hectic in the mornings when people are rushing to get their prescriptions filled before heading to the station. We try to keep the medicine stock updated, though sometimes we have to order things in if they aren't common. The general store side has all those little things you might run out of at home. We have rows of plastic bottles and boxes stacked up to the ceiling because space is tight in Mumbai. I usually spend my time checking expiry dates or talking to the delivery guys who bring the new stock. It’s a small shop but we’ve been here long enough that the neighbors know us. Sometimes someone comes in just for a cold drink because it’s so hot outside. We don't do any big advertising or anything, we just stay open and serve whoever walks through the door. The evenings are usually the busiest when everyone is back from work. We close up once the streets start getting a bit quieter. It’s just a normal way to run a business in this city.
