Farnaz Beautician

Farnaz Beautician is located on the fourth floor of the Afzal Guest House in Bhendi Bazar. It’s Room Number 7, so you have to come up the stairs and find us at 56 Masjid Street. We are very close to the Manvi Post Office, which is a good landmark if you’re lost in the narrow lanes here. Bhendi Bazar is a very old and crowded part of Mumbai, and it has a rhythm of its own. My shop is small and more of a personal space where I see women from the neighborhood. It’s not like a big street-level shop with glass windows. It’s a bit more private, which a lot of my ladies like. I do threading, henna, and basic skin stuff. Since it’s inside a guest house building, it feels more like a home than a business sometimes. I’ve been doing this for a long time, and most of my customers are like friends now. We sit and talk while I work. The building is old, and sometimes the climb up to the fourth floor is a bit much for some, but they still come. It’s a busy area with the mosque nearby and all the markets, so there’s always noise coming up from the street. It’s just me working here, keeping things simple and honest for the people who know me and keep coming back for years.
