Our office is in an older building with high ceilings and those heavy doors you don't see much anymore. We spend our time managing different hotel operations from here. It is a lot of phone calls, coordinating with staff at different sites, and keeping an eye on the numbers. Murzban Road is narrow and gets really crowded during office hours, so it’s always a bit of a scramble getting in. Inside the office, things are a bit more relaxed, though we stay busy. We have a small kitchen area where we brew tea and take turns bringing in snacks. We don't use much corporate jargon; we just say what needs to be said and get the work done. Managing hotels means you never really know what the day will bring. One day it's a plumbing issue somewhere, and the next day it's a big event we have to prep for.
