Our office is up on the fourth floor of the Ascot Center, right on Tankshal Road. Being in Andheri East means there is always a lot of noise and movement outside. We deal with cargo and paperwork all day long. It's mostly phones ringing and people checking on where their shipments are. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, which is annoying when we are in a hurry. We have a couple of desks crowded with files and computers. It’s not the most glamorous setup, but it works for us. Freight can be a headache with all the customs rules and timing issues. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and warehouse people. Usually, we are just trying to make sure nothing gets stuck at the port or the airport. There are four or five of us in here usually. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is the highlight for some. We’ve been at this location for some years. It’s convenient being near the airport, even if the traffic on Tankshal Road is a nightmare in the afternoons. We handle things as they come. Some days are quiet, others are a total mess of late trucks and missing documents. We just get through it and start again the next morning. It is a steady life here at 405/406. We don't have fancy meetings, just a lot of logistics to sort through every single day.
