We’ve been here at Satam Estate B-30/31 for a good while now. It’s mostly just us and the machines. Some days it gets pretty loud with the cutting and welding going on, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We handle a lot of metal parts and custom jobs that come through the door. It isn't a fancy office with carpets or anything like that. You’ll mostly find grease on the floors and tools sitting on the workbenches where they were last used. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years, so we know which machine is acting up just by the sound it makes. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Usually, we're just out on the floor making sure the orders are moving along. People stop by the shop to check on their stuff or just to talk through a drawing they have. Satam Estate is a busy place, and we just fit right into the middle of it. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the work we do. It’s a bit dusty, and the tea guy comes by twice a day, which is when we actually take a break. Otherwise, we’re just focusing on the lathes and the drills. It’s honest work, even if the floor needs a sweep most afternoons. We keep things moving as fast as we can.
