We are located on the third floor of the Harharwala Building 61, over in Chinchpokli. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens more often than we would like. The space in Motilal Nagar No-1 is filled with boxes of medical parts and various pieces of equipment waiting to be looked at. It’s a bit of a maze in here because we have so many different machines stacked up in every corner. We spend a lot of time with screwdrivers and testing kits. The lighting isn't great, but we have a few bright lamps on the workbenches so we can see what we are doing. Most of what we do involves checking sensors and making sure the electronics in these medical tools are doing what they are supposed to. It’s quiet work for the most part, unlike a factory. We have stacks of manuals and technical sheets lying around on the desks. Sometimes we’re out at hospitals most of the day, so the office sits empty except for the phone. When we are here, it’s mostly just us drinking tea and trying to figure out why a particular monitor isn't giving a clean reading. The building is old and has a lot of character, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s a practical setup for the kind of technical work we do every day. We just take things one piece of equipment at a time.
