Esschem (Pvt.) Ltd

Up on the 19th Floor of Centre 1 at the Word Trade Centre, things are a bit different than the street level down in Cuffe Parade. We are Esschem (Pvt.) Ltd and we have been in this building for a good while. Getting through security in the morning takes a few minutes, and then you wait for the elevators which can be slow when everyone is coming in at nine. Once you get up here, the view of the water is nice, though we mostly spend our time looking at spreadsheets and bills. Colaba is a busy part of the city, and being in the Trade Centre means there are always people from all over the world walking around downstairs. Our office is fairly quiet compared to the noise outside. We deal with a lot of shipping documents and technical specs for our products. It is not always exciting work, but it needs to get done properly. Sometimes we go downstairs for a quick sandwich or a coffee if the day is going long. The air conditioning is always running, which is good because it gets so humid out there. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks as they come. It is a professional spot but we are not stuffy about it at all. Just a group of people trying to keep the business moving in one of the tallest buildings around here. We have a small pantry where we make tea, and that is usually where we catch up.
