The area of Kharghar has grown so much recently, but our sector stays fairly calm. Our flat is up on the fourth floor, which helps keep us away from the sounds of the street traffic below. We spend most of our hours either on the phone or typing away at our computers. It is a simple setup with a few sturdy desks and some old filing cabinets that probably should have been cleared out years ago. We do not have a fancy reception area or a person in a suit waiting to greet you. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to answer it when someone knocks. We are a small, tight-knit group of people working together. We know the petrochemical business inside and out, even if our office looks like a regular living room. It is a quiet place where we can focus on our tasks without many interruptions. Being in New Mumbai gives us a bit more breathing room than the crowded parts of the main city.
