Esis Hospital

We are located on the third floor on MIDC Road in Andheri East. Being in this part of Mumbai means there’s never a quiet moment. The traffic outside is always humming, and you can hear the horns even from the upper floors. Getting up to the third floor can be a bit of a wait if the lift is full, which it usually is. Once you’re inside, it’s a bit more contained, but still busy. We have the wards partitioned off and the nursing station right in the middle of everything. The space is used very efficiently because real estate in Andheri isn’t cheap. We’ve got files tucked into every available shelf. The staff is used to the fast pace; you have to be to work here. We see people from all walks of life, from office workers to laborers. It’s a bit of a squeeze when the families come to visit, but we make it work. The smell of floor cleaner is pretty strong, especially in the mornings. We don't have a big PR team to write about how great we are. We just focus on the patients and the paperwork that comes with them. It’s a bit cramped and the walls are covered with notices and charts, but it’s a functioning hospital in the heart of a very busy city. We just keep at it, day after day.
