Equine Farriery Foundation

Equine Farriery Foundation is what we call ourselves and we are located in the heart of Mumbai. You can find us at Bradys Gladys Plaza, specifically in Unit 3, which is part of the 1/447 section on Senapati Bapat Marg in Lower Parel. It’s a busy area with all the big offices and malls around, which is a funny place for a horse-related foundation. We focus on farriery, which is basically the job of shoeing horses and looking after their hooves. Most of our work involves the foundation side of things, like training and setting standards for farriers. The office is a simple place. We have some tools and a lot of educational materials lying around the desks. It isn't a very large space, but it serves our purpose for the foundation's needs. We spend most of our time coordinating with people who work with horses and making sure the craft of farriery is being done right. Lower Parel is always crowded, so getting to the plaza can take a while if there is a lot of traffic on the Marg. We are just a group of people who care about this specific trade. There are no fancy mission statements here, just the daily tasks of running the foundation. If you look for Unit 3 in the plaza, that’s where we are. We keep things pretty low-key and just focus on the horses.
