Emaar Trading

Down in Chirag Nagar, things are always moving fast and it never really stays quiet. Our place is in the Ratna Plaza Compound, specifically Shop No-2 at No-1. It is a tight space in Ghatkopar West, but we make it work for us. Every morning the shutters go up and we start sorting through whatever stock arrived the night before. The traffic outside is constant, with cars honking and people rushing to the station nearby. We have got shelves stacked high with all sorts of things. Sometimes it is hard to find stuff if we do not put it back in the right spot immediately. It is just a couple of us working here mostly. We know all the other shopkeepers around the plaza. We share tea and complain about how humid it gets in the afternoons. The fan does not do much when it is like that. We do not have a website or anything fancy, just the shop and the phone. People come in looking for very specific things, and we do our best to find them in the back rooms. The lighting is not the greatest, but we know exactly where everything is kept. It gets crowded when even two people are standing in the aisle at once. We usually just eat our lunch at the small table in the corner. It is a basic life, really. We handle the orders and try to get home before the trains get too packed.
