Elite Medical General Stores

Our store is at 8/B in the Lovely Home Co-operative building in Santacruz East. We are quite close to the Bank of Baroda, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are out doing their errands. The shop is filled with rows of medicines and all the usual things you would expect to find in a general store. It is a clean place, though we have a lot of boxes stacked up in the corners when the new stock arrives. We spend the day standing behind the counter, reading prescriptions and looking for specific bottles on the shelves. Santacruz East is a busy neighborhood, so we see a lot of the same people every week. We know who needs their blood pressure pills and who is coming in for baby formula. It is a steady kind of work, and we try to keep the most common items within easy reach. The fan on the ceiling stays on all the time to keep the air moving, though it still gets warm when the sun hits the front window in the afternoon. We don't have any flashy displays, just the items people need for their health and home. Sometimes we have to tell people to come back later if a specific medicine hasn't arrived on the morning truck. It’s just a local shop serving the people who live in the Lovely Home building and the streets nearby. We stay open even when it rains hard because people still need their supplies.
