Education

You can find us in Room No 611 of the SIMSR New Hostel, which is part of the Somaiya campus in Vidyavihar. It is a student-heavy area, obviously, being right there in Mumbai. This is where we operate Education. The room is small, and it is often cluttered with books and folders. Since it is a hostel building, there is always a lot of noise in the corridors—students talking, doors slamming, and people rushing to classes. We do not mind it; it keeps the energy up. We have a couple of chairs tucked into the corners and a small desk where the laptop sits. Most of our day is spent talking to students or coordinating things over the phone. It is not like a typical corporate office at all. We do not have a receptionist or a coffee machine. If we want coffee, we just go down to the canteen like everyone else. Working from 611 has been our routine for a while. We know the security guards and the hostel staff well. It is a very informal environment. We help out with various academic and administrative needs that come up. Being in Vidyavihar is convenient because everything is right here. We do not feel the need for a fancy storefront on a main road. This room works just fine for what we need to do. It is a bit cramped, but it is where we do our daily work.
