Edit Institute

Edit Institute is located over at R No 22 in Marwadi Wadi, right here in Mumbai. It’s a busy little spot, which is pretty much what you expect when you’re in this part of Maharashtra. We spend our days teaching and working with people who want to learn about editing. The room isn't huge, but we’ve managed to fit enough workstations in there to get the job done. It’s usually a bit loud with the sound of people talking over their projects and the hum of the computers. We don't go for any of that polished corporate look; our walls have some posters on them and the furniture is just there to be used. Most of the folks who come in are just looking for practical skills they can actually use, and we try to give them that without any extra fluff. It’s a lot of hands-on work, sitting at the screen and going through things frame by frame or line by line. Mumbai is always moving fast outside, but inside R No 22, we’re just focused on the task at hand. Sometimes we stay late because a project is almost finished and no one wants to leave it halfway. It’s just a local place where people come to get better at what they do. We don't promise anything grand, we just show up and do the teaching every day and see how the students progress.
