Our shop, Echo Electronics, is over in Kandivali West at Gujarati Society 30. If you’ve been to Kandivali, you know how packed and busy it can get, especially with all the shops and people moving around. We are tucked away in the Gujarati Society area. It’s a small place, honestly. We have shelves lined with various electronic components, some half-finished repairs on the benches, and wires going every which way. It’s not the neatest place in the world, but we know where everything is. There’s always the smell of solder in the air and the sound of someone testing a circuit. We don’t have a fancy storefront with bright lights. Most of our visitors are people from the neighborhood or those who’ve heard about us from a friend. It gets pretty cramped when there are more than three people inside, but we make it work. We usually have a radio playing low in the background, often some old songs. The society itself is quite lively, with kids playing outside or neighbors chatting near the gates. We’ve been at number 30 for a while now. It’s a simple setup—a couple of stools, a solid workbench, and plenty of light for the fine work. We just take things one day at a time, fixing what needs fixing and keeping the business going as best as we can in this little corner of Mumbai. We don't need much more than that.
