Eastern International Hotel

We have been operating here on Balraj Sahani Marg for a long time, right by Juhu Beach. If you stand outside the front door, you can usually smell the salt in the air and hear the waves if the traffic isn't too loud. Eastern International Hotel is a bit of a landmark in this part of Mumbai. The building has seen a lot of seasons, and the salty air from the ocean does a number on the exterior paint, so we are always touching things up. Inside, it’s a bit quieter than the busy beach road. We have rooms that look out over the water or the city. The lobby is a place where people sit and wait for their friends, and we have a staff that has been here through many changes. We don’t have a lot of fancy technology; we still do things the old-fashioned way mostly. The carpets might show a little wear in the hallways, but we keep them vacuumed. Our kitchen puts out breakfast and dinner for the guests, and it’s usually the busiest part of the hotel. We don’t have a big marketing team or a corporate headquarters. It’s just us here on the beach, trying to keep the rooms clean and the guests comfortable. It’s a lot of work running a place this size, but we just take it one day at a time. It’s a practical spot for anyone who wants to be right by the sand.
