E Press

E Press is located in Unit No 301 of the Sun Industrial Estate in Lower Parel, which puts us right across the street from Phoenix Mill. This area used to be all about the old mills, but now it’s a mix of big malls and industrial units like ours. Inside our space, it’s usually quite busy with the sound of the presses and people moving pallets of paper around. We don't have a lot of extra space, so everything has to be kept in its proper spot or the whole floor becomes a mess. Working in Lower Parel means we are right in the middle of all the action, which is great for getting things delivered but a nightmare when you’re trying to find parking. Most of our time is spent checking the machines or looking over proofs to see if anything is blurry. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with the noise of the industrial estate. We aren't trying to pretend we are some high-end creative agency; we are a print shop that knows how to get the ink on the page correctly. The elevators in the building can be slow, and the hallways are a bit dark, but it’s where we do our work every day. We just focus on the job and try to make sure everything is packed up and ready for the morning. Most days are long but we like the pace.
