You can find us at 19 Kazi Syed Street, right off the main Masjid Bunder Road. This part of the city is always humming with energy. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step because of the handcarts and the workers carrying heavy loads on their backs. Our building is old and has that specific smell of aged paper and wood. E. A. Currim has been part of this trade circle for a long time. Inside, it’s mostly just us and our inventory. We don't have air conditioning in the main area, so the windows are usually open to catch whatever breeze comes off the street. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic outside, but we’re used to it. We spend our mornings checking the stock and talking to the regulars who have been buying from us since before I started working here. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We don't use much fancy software; a lot of things are still noted down in big ledgers. When a shipment arrives, everyone helps out, even if it just means staying out of the way of the loaders. We know the local shopkeepers and often share a quick snack with them in the afternoon. It’s a crowded, busy, and honest way to make a living in the heart of the market. We just keep our heads down and get the day's tasks finished one by one.
