Dujodwala Paper Chemicals Limited is situated in the Raheja Centre at Nariman Point. We are up on the ninth floor in office number 907. Being in this part of Mumbai means it's always fast-paced and there are people everywhere in suits rushing to meetings. Our office is a bit more relaxed than the typical corporate environment you might expect here. We focus on chemicals used in the paper industry, which is a bit of a niche thing. The view from the windows is alright, but mostly we are looking at our desks and computer screens. There’s a lot of coordination involved in this business, dealing with factories and shipping schedules. We get a lot of visitors coming through the building, so it’s never really quiet. The elevators can be a wait during the lunch hour when everyone heads out at once. We’ve been at Nariman Point for many years and have seen the area change quite a bit. Despite the fancy address, we’re just a group of people working hard to keep things moving. We handle a lot of technical data and order forms every day. It’s not the most exciting work to talk about at dinner, but it’s important for the paper mills we supply. We don't go in for big speeches or polished presentations. We just answer the phone, reply to the emails, and make sure the chemicals get delivered on time. That’s how we’ve always operated our business here.
