Drop In 9 is located right near Haji Ali Darga, specifically at number 9. It’s a very famous area, and the crowds are huge, especially on the weekends and during festivals. Our shop is just a small place where people can stop by while they are visiting the shrine or just walking around the seaside. We sell various small items and things people might need on the go. The space is cramped, and there isn't much room to move around when more than three people are inside. We get a lot of tourists and also regulars who live in the nearby buildings. The salt air from the sea sometimes makes the metal shutters a bit rusty, so we have to paint them every now and then. It’s a lively spot to work in because you see all kinds of people from everywhere. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights. It’s just a plain shop front with our stuff displayed as best as we can. The noise from the traffic on the main road is always there, but you get used to it after a week. We open early and stay open until it gets dark. We don't have a big philosophy about what we do. We just keep the shop open and sell what people are looking for. It’s a simple way to earn a living in a very busy part of Mumbai. Sometimes the sea breeze is the only thing that keeps us cool.
