Dr Shoukat Hospital & Laser Centre

Our place is right near the Makhdoom Shah Baba Dargah in Mahim West. The Natalwala Building has been here for ages, and that’s where you’ll find us on S Veer Savarkar Marg. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, so there’s always noise from the street. We’ve got the hospital and the laser centre side by side. Dr. Shoukat is usually around the building somewhere. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful coming up. We handle a lot of different things here. Some people come for the laser treatments, others are here for regular hospital stuff. It’s a tight space because that’s just how buildings in Mahim are. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the files pile up on the front desk. The staff has been here a long time. They know the regulars who come for follow-ups. We see people from all walks of life because of the location. Being near the Dargah means there’s always a crowd outside. Sometimes finding parking is a real headache for the patients. We just tell them to use the side lanes if they can. It’s not a shiny new glass building, but it works for what we do. We’ve been serving this corner of Mahim for quite a while now. Most days are long, but we stay until the last person is seen. Even when the monsoon hits hard, we keep the doors open for anyone coming in.
