Dr Jhaveri Hospital Matunga

Dr Jhaveri Hospital Matunga is in the Jaydeep Building, tucked away in a lane right opposite the Kashi Vishweshwar Mandir. Being near the temple means there is a certain atmosphere around the place, especially during festival times or on Monday mornings when more people visit for prayers. You can often hear the temple bells or the sound of people gathered outside. The hospital is located on T H Kataria Marg in the Mahim-Matunga area. It’s a very established part of Mumbai. The building itself, Jaydeep, is a typical older structure for this part of town. Inside, the clinic and hospital areas are spread out to make use of the available space. We have the standard white walls and tile floors you’d expect. It’s a busy intersection nearby, so there is always the sound of horns and traffic from Mahim Matunga Road. The lane itself is a bit narrower and provides a little bit of a buffer from the main road noise. People come here from all over Mahim because they know the landmark of the Mandir. We have a small reception area where the files are stacked up. It is a functional place where the focus is just on the daily routine of seeing patients. No one is here for the decor; they just come for their checkups and treatments. It’s just how things have been for years in this building and we keep it running.
