Aniiq Creations

You can find us at C/12 Nav Shaukat Society on Navroji Hill Road No. 19 in Dongri. This is a neighborhood with a lot of character and narrow streets that are always full of people. Our space in the society is where all the making happens. We call it Aniiq Creations, and mostly we just sit and work on various garment designs and sewing projects. It’s not a very big room, so it gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of fabric rolls sitting around. We use simple sewing machines and spend most of our daylight hours hunched over the tables. Dongri is a loud place, with voices and vehicles constantly audible through the windows, but we’ve grown used to the background noise. Our neighbors in Nav Shaukat Society are mostly families, so there’s a nice community feel when we step out for a tea break. We don't do anything very high-tech here; it’s mostly just hands and needles. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big order to finish, and the lights stay on long after the rest of the street has gone quiet. It’s a modest way to make a living, but we enjoy the process of seeing something being built from scratch. We aren't trying to be a big factory, just a local shop doing our thing. The society gate is usually open, and you can hear the kids playing in the courtyard while we work on the designs. Dongri has a way of being loud and cozy at the same time. Our machines are a bit noisy too, so it all blends together. We keep some fabric scraps in a big basket for the local kids to play with. It’s not a fancy production line, just us three working through the orders as they come. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost in the narrow lanes of Navroji Hill Road, so we have to go out and wave them down. It’s just how things are here. We don't have any big plans to change things, we just want to keep the shop running and the needles moving.
