We operate out of Flat No. 6 in the Mallika Cooperative Housing Society, which is on Plot No. 63 along R.B. Mehta Road. Being in Ghatkopar East means we are in a busy part of Mumbai, but being in a residential building keeps things a bit more grounded. Dodsal has been around for a long time, and this office has seen a lot of years go by. It is not a glass-and-steel skyscraper. It is a place with older wooden desks, filing cabinets that sometimes stick, and a kitchen where we make a lot of tea. Since we are in a housing society, we have to be mindful of our neighbors, so it is not like a loud factory floor. Most of our work is about coordination, paperwork, and keeping projects moving from a distance. We don't have a big fancy lobby with a fountain. You just buzz the bell and come on up. The street outside is always noisy with traffic and people going to the markets, but inside it is usually just the sound of keyboards and phones ringing. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the decades. New shops come and go, but we are still here in the same spot. We don't go in for much self-promotion or fancy websites. We just keep our heads down and handle the tasks that come across our desks every day. It is a steady way to work, and it suits the way we like to do things.
