Essar Projects India Ltd.

We are based at Essar House, right on Keshavrao Khadye Marg in the Mahalaxmi area. It’s a big old building, and we’ve been here for quite some time. The office is always buzzing with people talking about different project sites and looking over drawings. Even though we are part of a larger group, our day-to-day work here is pretty down-to-earth. We deal with a lot of moving parts, trying to make sure materials get where they need to go and that the timelines aren't slipping too much. Mahalaxmi is a busy part of Mumbai, so getting in and out of the office can be a bit of a chore with the traffic, but we are used to it by now. We spend a lot of time in meetings, sometimes on the phone with guys out in the field where the actual building is happening. It’s a lot of coordination and trying to fix problems before they get too big. The desks are usually covered in files and blueprints. We don't go for much style; it's more about having a place where we can get the work done. Lunchtimes are usually quick, maybe someone brings in snacks to share. It’s just a group of people working on big construction stuff, trying to keep things moving forward day after day.
